GaussView 4 Now Shipping

What's New in GaussView 4

GaussView Version 4 is now shipping. Customers who purchased GaussView Version 3 after March 27, 2006 are eligible for a free or $1 upgrade license for GaussView Version 4 (depending on the version). Specific details for various customer situations follow. Please read them carefully before contacting us. Thanks in advance for your understanding and your patience.

  • GaussView Manual No Longer Printed: We are no longer printing the GaussView manual beginning with version 4. Instead, a PDF file in full color is available on the installation CD as well as on our website. Customers may print the manual if desired. Note that we do plan to continue printing all Gaussian manuals. We chose to provide this manual in PDF form since we believed that full color was necessary for it to be effective, but the duplication costs for a full color manual would be prohibitively expensive for some customers.

  • GaussView Maintenance Customers: These copies have been shipped via UPS or DHL to the official contact person at your site. Contact that person in order to obtain access to GaussView 4.

  • Windows and Mac OS X Single Copies to Customers at Organizations without a Site License: These versions are being shipped to customers via the U. S. Postal service. Delivery time will vary depending on your location. Deliveries to some foreign locations may take up to several weeks. Note that we have no way of tracking shipments or estimating delivery times. Please allow a generous amount of time before inquiring about your copy.

  • Windows and Mac OS X Single Copies to Customers at Organizations with Site Licenses: Customers at sites with a GaussView site license who ordered a single copy of the same version must wait for their site to return the new site license before their copy will be shipped. In most cases, such sites ordered a site license after the single copies were ordered. Once the new site license has been returned, the single copies will also be shipped directly to the customer. Customers in this situation will receive an email from Gaussian indicating this.

  • Sites with Windows and/or Mac OS X Site Licenses and/or UNIX Single Copy or Site Licenses: All versions of GaussView for which a license agreement was completed for GaussView 3 are eligible for a $1 license for the equivalent version(s) for GaussView 4. We will contact you by email regarding your specific licensing situation. Please do not contact us before receiving this email as we will be unable to respond to such queries. We expect to contact everyone within the next 2 weeks.
