Gaussian 03 Available Binary Versions for Rev. E.01

Important Notes:

  • Systems shaded in light green are subject to supercomputer pricing (details here) and do not qualify for academic/US government discounts.
  • An upgraded version of Linda is required when upgrading from Gaussian 98 to Gaussian 03.
  • The Linux RedHat and SuSE versions specified for IA32, IA64 and EM64T/Operton systems refer only to the unmodified, unpatched original media/ISO image distributions as released by the vendor.
  • For PowerPC-based Macintosh computers, see Gaussian 03M. Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard is not supported. G03M binaries are not supported on Intel Macs (i.e., running under Rosetta).

Gaussian 03 Available Source Code Versions for Rev. E.01

Important Notes:

  • Systems shaded in light green are subject to supercomputer pricing (details here) and do not qualify for academic/US government discounts.
  • Versions added with Rev E.01 are marked in Red. You must have a Rev E source CD to build these versions.
  • The Linux RedHat and SuSE versions specified for IA32, IA64 and EM64T/Operton systems refer only to the unmodified, unpatched original media/ISOimage distributions as released by the vendor.
  • An upgraded version of Linda is available for the IA32, Opteron and EM64T platforms which fixes a rarely-occuring bug which caused jobs to hang. If you have experienced this problem, then you should consider purchasing an upgrade for Linda for use with Rev. E. Linda binary versions of Rev. E will obviously incorporate the upgrade.
  • An upgraded version of Linda is required for all platforms when upgrading from Gaussian 98 to Gaussian 03.
  • In order to build on Intel-based Macintosh computers, the source code and tools must be installed on an HFS+ case-sensitive file system (or a UFS file system for systems where that is supported). Building Gaussian 03 from source code is not supported for PowerPC-based Macintosh systems (including universal binaries). Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard is also not supported. Finally, G03M binaries are not supported on Intel Macs (i.e., running under Rosetta).
